On a sweltering evening in Cowbridge a record 75 choristers took the stage in front of a capacity audience.

After the initial set of 4 songs the choir gratefully discarded their blazers and sang a varied programme including debut performances of Adiemus and Mr Blue Sky.The concert ended with a rousing rendition of Hafan Gobaith and a standing ovation.

The evening was enhanced by our guests Cor Bryn Owain whose contributions were greatly appreciated by all.
It was with some relief that members of the choir and their guests sought liquid refreshment at the nearby Cowbridge Rugby Club.

A large contingent of choristers together with their wives and partners travelled to the Lake District.Concerts were held in the Morecambe Winter Gardens, currently undergoing renovations followed by a successful joint concert with the Barrow Male Voice Choir in front of a large audience
The tourists enjoyed excursions by steam train and lake steamer, occasions whic prompted impromptu renditions of Chatanooga Choo Choo and Sloop John B!
Thc choir is delighted to have shared the stage with two other choirs during a busy spring.First we were delighted to welcome the Achord Ladies choir from Cyprus in Bridgend.
The choir then travelled to a not very sunny Weston super Mare where we had been invited to perform in a joint concert with the Mendip Male Voice Choir.A fine concert was followed by a lively afterglow in the local bowls club.Thank you MMVC!.
New concert staging
With thanks to Barnsaple MVC the choir is now proud owner of proper staging to accomodate the whole ensemble at concerts.
Staging will enhance the quality of our performances and will improve visibilty for our audiences.
Our Musical Director is particularly pleased as we all have a clear view of her, and of course vice versa!

At a packed Llandaff Cathedral CMVC were delighted to perform alongside ladies choir Vox in Frox and the Howells School choir in a concert in aid of Maggies Cancer Care Charity.
This special occasion was enhanced by the presence of the renowned Dr Alwyn Humphreys who took the baton and conducted CMVC in the absence of our regular MD Rhiannon Williams.
The highlight of the evening was the finale when all three choirs joined together for a rousing rendition of The Rhythm of Life which was greeted by a standing ovation from the capacity audience.
The choir was delighted to be invited to return to the Isle of Wight to perform concerts in aid of Rotary charities. if anybody told you that being in a choir isn’t fun, they weren’t telling the truth!
