CMVC Open Rehearsal draws near!

CMVC’s Open Rehearsal takes place from 8pm on Wednesday 14th September at Holy Cross Church. Designed to attract people who want to have a taste of what it is to sing in the choir without the formality of a full rehearsal, this is open to all, irrespective of age or experience. No pre-registration is necessary – just come along on the night, relax and enjoy the experience. We will even take you to the pub afterwards!

CMVC Star at Cowbridge Pride

The launch of Cowbridge Pride proved to a hugely inspiring and uplifting occasion. At a completely full Town Hall, the capacity audience was treated to a wonderful performance by Vale Academy of Performing Arts, before CMVC took to the stage for a fabulous selection of ‘afterglow’ songs. This was a magnificent community event and the choir was thrilled and privileged to play its part. Congratulations to Ian ‘H’ Watkins of ‘Steps’ fame, the Town Council, Connie Orff and all others who contributed.

Sweltering Forage Farm welcomes CMVC!

On a blistering hot 14th August, the choir was thrilled to fulfil an engagement to perform at Forage Farm in front of an appreciative audience. Forage Farm, the Penllyn Estate and all associated did so much to support the choir with rehearsal venues throughout the pandemic that some sweaty shirts were fully justified to repay their loyalty and kindness. Even the alpacas came to listen!

David Jones receives his Green Blazer

As the choir were undertaking their final rehearsal before their Annual Concert, David Jones was called forward to receive his Green Blazer in front of the entire assembled choir. David has been a brilliant probationary chorister, attending numerous concerts as well as working diligently to learn his repertoire parts. Many congratulations David!

Outstanding Annual Concert wows audience

CMVC’s annual concert at Cowbridge Leisure Centre provoked a standing ovation from the capacity audience at the close. What a magnificent evening and sparkling quality from choristers and guests. Huge thanks to Indigo May for their contribution and to Scott Williams for his virtuoso organ playing.

Barry Doughty receives his Green Blazer
