Following weeks of patient rehearsal and effort, Barry Doughty was elevated to the Green Blazer fraternity and is pictured receiving it from Vice Chairman Chris George and Musical Director Rhiannon Williams. Congratulations Barry!
The choir was thrilled and honoured to be asked to sing at 2 weddings over the Platinum Jubilee weekend. Jenny & Will’s wedding took place at Holy Cross Church, Cowbridge before the choir performed at their reception in the stunning setting of St Donat’s castle. The following day we sung at the wedding of Laura and Alistair in the intimate space that is St Mary’s Church, St Fagans. The choir wishes both couples a long and very happy marriage.
Cowbridge Male Voice Choir is delighted to award bass chorister Alec Trousdell with his choir uniform as he prepares to take the stage for his debut performance at this coming weekend’s weddings. Alec joined the choir at the start of the pandemic and has worked incredibly hard to learn the repertoire in the most challenging of rehearsal circumstances. Huge credit to him and his bass section colleagues who have made sure he has been supported and encouraged throughout. Alec is hugely proud to now wear the green blazer.
The choir is delighted to have welcomed back a number of choristers over recent weeks who have been absent due to the pandemic but are now able to return. They include Gwyn Jones, Gareth Davies, Tony Summers and Colin Jones. Welcome back one and all.
