A large party of choristers and supporters journeyed variously by coach, car, aeroplane and rail to Bavaria as guests of German Winds Orchestra.

The group stayed near the beautiful Lake Tegernsee and were priviliged to join with German Winds and their other in vited guests, Northumberland Winds Orchestra in performing in two stunning locations in front of large and appreciative audiences.

The first venue was the impressive St Quirinus Church on the edge of Lake Tegernsee where the choir include in their repertoire two pieces in German ,the very appropriate Sanctus written by Schubert followed by Sing Dem Herrn.

The accoustic and atmosphere within the church made for a fantastic experience.

The choir’s second concert was held in the magnificent baroque Marienmunster at Ammersee. This venue took our breath away with its size and opulence, and an accoustic quality which even outshone our first concert venue.
